TINA C

Featuring Australia’s James Henry and Casey Donovan

DESCRIPTION

Multi award-winning comic writer and performer Christopher Green brings his outrageous character, Tina C, to the Sydney Opera House in his tongue-in-cheek show about race relations.

Tina C is a rootin’ tootin’, All-American country gal and she’s here to tell us a thing or two about the history of Aboriginal and white relations in this big old colonised country of ours.

Country music superstar and global icon for the American way of life, Tina C has scrutinised Australia’s culture and has figured out that there’s some stuff to work out between the older and newer inhabitants of this land. And she’s the woman to make it happen. Using the obvious tool- the healing power of country music, Tina C is accompanied by acclaimed Aboriginal singer Casey Donovan and celebrated musician James Henry, grandson of Jimmy Little.

With her unique mix of biting political satire, glamour and comedic songs, Tina C will make you look at our country through new eyes.

Tina C: Sorry Seems to Be the Hardest Word is presented as part of Sydney Opera House’s NAIDOC Week celebrations. Check out more NAIDOC Week events here .
